Useful manuals-only repertoire

I  was pitched into the role of church organist with little preparation, and zero repertoire.  I was told that it took at least a year, if not eighteen months, to develop a reliable pedal technique – and I am finding this to be true.  So although I’m introducing pieces with a pedal part into the services gradually, as my confidence grows, I have needed some convincing and appropriate manuals-only voluntaries to be going on with.  Here’s a starter list of what I have found useful.

February 2013 – And here’s a second page.

June 2019 – There’s now an updated listing of Manuals-only repertoire at the bottom of my post on Survival Skills for the Reluctant Organist
